Tickets are $30 for one or $50 for two. Tickets include a four course dinner, open bar, auction bidding paddle, and your night of knowing that Ethin’s Heart Still Beats…..”It Beats in us”

A list of Auction items and a full program will be up as we continue to fill in the details for the ball as well as an announcement of the theme for the night. Last year was "HOPE" this year is still available for ideas. If you have any submit them here.

This seemed to be the theme of the night Spreading Hope. Ethin's Heart Still Beats in all of us and to me that brings HOPE!!! This is a picture of one of the Auction tables and the wall behind it.

When I started this journey of putting this ball together I never dreamed that it would be all that it was or that I would cry as much as I did. I want to share some of the highlights of the evening and give the amount of money raised.

Our night started out with a great dinner cooked by CSK catering. They are so excited and have already signed on to do it again. This ball would have never happened without CSK Catering. They donated all of the food and their time for this cause. It is a family owned business and they truly completely support this cause. Here is a few pics of them....I am telling you contact them for your catering needs they love to cook and it shows!!! Thank you Jen and Scottie, James & Jen, Tony, Halie and all your friends You all were terriffic!

After dinner was served the night began with a good friend of mine Tom Coverly providing some great entertainment. He is an illusionist that I met shortly after my son passed away. He quickly became someone that I knew would pray for if I ever needed it and before I knew it he was someone that I knew Ethin had led me too. He brought his girlfriend who is also a CHD survivor. Here is a pic of Tom performing and then of Tom, Tracy, and I.

After Tom was finished we watched the slide show that I posted the other day. Go back one post to see it if you missed it. When that was done I introduced Ethin's Buddy Dr. Bryan Goldstein. He spoke and did great. He brought tears to my eyes. He recalled me saying to him a month after Ethin had died and we spoke about what happened I told him, "Something Good WILL come of this." I hope that Bryan always can look at Ethin's life and know that something good is coming from all of this. Bryan thank you for speaking and being more than a doctor!

Hugging Dr. Bryan Goldstein before he spoke. This was a Dr. who was literally there from the time Ethin was born until Ethin's very last breath.

After Bryan spoke I said a thank you and began the Waltz in memory of Ethin.

Thank you Tony for dancing with me....Derrick you will be my partner next year!

The night was long and fun. My feet hurt when it was done, but I truly could not be happier. Ethin' Heart Still Beats in all of us. There were 32 people in attendance and this is the grand Total of money raised at the 1st Annual Ethin's Heart Still Beats Heart Ball........

Well there is a little more than two weeks until the Heart Ball!!! I can not believe that it is so close. Here are the details for the ball as well as a list of Aution Items. I am opening the Auction now and it will close on Sunday January 10th at 11:59pm. If you would like to make a bid email me your bid at chdhlhs09@yahoo.com or leave a comment here. As bids come in I will update the bid prices so all have an opportunity to bid on them and get the item they are wanting. All the items and the starting bid Price will be in this post, but you can find all items up for bid on the left hand side of this site! Some of these items have a starting bid price. Others the bid price will start at $0. All Autographed aution items come with a certficate of authenticity. Happy Bidding and Hope to see at the ball!!!!

What a menu right? So there will be three chefs that are working on this day and I am so excited to meet the last one who will come up the day before to start helping with the preparations. The other two I know. Scott is the executive chef of CSK catering and has been cooking for over 20 years. He has cooked for many well known people and is now taking on the Heart Ball as his baby if you will. I encourage you to visit their website to learn more about this amazing catering company!! The other sous chef that is helping is a friend of mine that I went to school with Tony. He is also very pumped to be doing this. I am so blessed with the most amazing catering company in the world to be doing this event!

Well I got some great news I should have a menu by the end of the week!! Our catering comapny for this is really just amazing!! And listen to this one of the sous chefs for the event is a chef from the MGM Grand in Detroit! Our head chef used to be a chef there too! So I think the food will be amazing! It is my absolute privelage and Honor to announce that the speaker for the Heart Ball is Dr. Bryan Goldstein. He is a third year pediatric cardiology fellow who was seriously the most amzing doctor we had and the connection between Ethin and him and our family is great. He was asked this morning and was back to me a few hours later!!! All is coming together well!
